On Friday, Crews posted the apology letter he received from former William Morris Endeavor agent, the man who Crews said sexually assaulted him at an industry function in 2016. The allegations first surfaced when Crews wrote about it last fall in the wake of Harvey Weinstein's fall and the breakout of the #MeToo movement.

Then, on Sept. 7, 2018, Crews settled a lawsuit he had filed against WME (which also happens to be Crews' agency). As part of the conditions of the settlement, gether in this situation. I am sorry for all of it."

After Crews came forward with his allegations last fall, Venit was suspended for a short time from his position at WME, incurring Crews' anger when he returned to his job.

Then, on September 7, 2018, Crews settled a lawsuit he had filed against WME (which also happens to be Crews' agency). As part of the conditions of the settlement, Crews demanded Venit resign and could not be rehired by the agency, in addition to demanding WME implement training that would hopefully prevent further such incidents.

Per the tweet, Crews appears to have accepted Venit's apology as of Monday, Sept. 10, 2018, which also happened to be Venit's last day. In a chat with Deadlineon Friday, Crews explained, “It meant nothing without a resignation."

Crews has remained an active supporter of the #MeToo movement. In June, he testified about his own assault in front of the Senate Judiciary Committer.

And just this week, he tweeted about the ouster of both CBS chief Les Moonves and 60 Minutes producer Jeff Fager, the two most recent example of powerful men having their (alleged) history of abuse and harassment catch up with them.
